John 13:2-3

Mighty Servants of God. What is on your cheat sheet? You know, that short list of what is most important to you, the one that you turn to when you need extra help. What names and relationships appear? What life goals? What guiding principles and values? What rank-ordered priorities? Without a clear understanding of these key issues, you will be susceptible to the influence of other voices, competing visions, and contradictory values. Take time to prayerfully update your personal mission, vision, and values statement, and commit it to memory. You never know when a test might come.

The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God.—John 13:2-3

Prayer: Jesus, remind us of whose we are and who we are, and what matters most as we begin this day. We pray in Your name, amen.
