2 Timothy 2:4

Mighty Servants of God. Encouragement is a universal need in the world. Whoever we meet, wherever we go, during good times and bad times, task-specific and personal encouragement always reaps powerful leadership dividends. Wise leaders know this. They take personal responsibility for motivating and encouraging those they lead. Sometimes people need words of affirmation, knowing that we understand and believe in them. Other times, they may need us to give instruction or to help them solve problems. Whatever the need, effective leaders discern the best way and time to encourage others.

Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.—2 Timothy 2:4

Prayer: God, remind us to encourage people according to their needs. Give us words that will help them find new reserves of energy and renewed focus. We ask in the name of the One who encourages us through His life and words, our Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
