Luke 9:23

Mighty Servants of God. Who do we serve? Whose goals, values, methods drive us? Scripture is clear that words alone are not sufficient evidence that we know God. Only as we deny ourselves and embrace God’s purposes, God’s plan, and God’s principles will we see God’s vision of reality come to pass. This is what Jesus was committed to, in word and in action. This was the focus of His whole life.

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”—Luke 9:23

Pray: Jesus, I want to be Your disciple. I hand my desires, purposes, and plans to You. Remove and remake them as You wish, replace them with the things that matter to God. May our actions match our words, we pray in Your name, amen.
