John 14:23

Mighty Servants of God. Obedience to God flows from trust and love. Obedience invites God into our life and leadership and opens the door for God to work through us. It allows God to show the world who He is and how He works. The obstacles of fear and pride keep us from taking God at His word and doing what He tells us to do. They limit God’s ability to use us to accomplish His will. Humility acknowledges that we don’t know everything and that God just might have a better idea than we do. Confidence in who God is reminds us that He is trustworthy and gives us the courage to do what He says to do. Jesus knew the joy of obeying God. Do you?

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” – John 14:23
